Anushka Shetty has been reigning as the Queen of Telugu Cinema and she maintains that stature even after so many years. These days, equal pay has become a huge topic of discussion and the actress shared her opinion on that. As an actress who had to carry the burden of all movie, she opined that it is much difficult job than sharing the small amount of the burden as a lead actress.
She said, ” In our films, actresses do not the such high responsibility to carry every movie on their shoulders and sell it in their name all the time. They end up doing may be 5 or 6 movies that depend on them completely while Heroes have to carry every film as a lead actor on their shoulders. They lose more than an actress when a film flops and just showing examples of hits, we cannot demand an equal pay.”
She further opined, ” Pay will be decided by the amount of work one does and how difficult or easy it is. Just because of experience you cannot claim higher stakes. You have put in that much effort into the making of the movie to demand a hike.” Anushka is gearing up to meet us as Bhaagamathie on 26th of January.
