on how it felt to be the movie’s mascot?
Awkward, Anurag Kashyap told IANS. I struggle to adjust to viewing myself.
Recently, ‘Made In Heaven 2’, a web series, had a cameo appearance from Anurag Kashyap.
Anurag Kashyap’s response to someone complimenting him on his performance in the play was, “Kaam to acha karna padta hai warna gaaliyan padti hain.”
Khud ko nahi dekh sakte hain aap, continued Anurag Kashyap. It’s strange and awkward.
What advice did he remember when playing Pramod?
Anurag shared: “Just follow the director. Akshat had more clarity how to play the role. I did not read the script. Mai bas chala gaya. Or jo isne bola maine kia. My performance is as good or as bad, as he is the director. I am always a director’s actor.”
Director Akshat expressed the following in reference to the same: “I used to constantly bouncing things with him. Fortunately, my entire ensemble is extremely talented; therefore, my half-job was completed. We used to debate the scenes in the morning, when there was a lot of open space and play going on.
And numerous times when I explained the circumstances surrounding the scene, they simply left on their own. Especially in the instances where Nawazuddin is showing off and acting out his weak side. Therefore, there was not much room for excessive inputs and discussions. The magic just happened when you let everybody play, he continued.
The movie, which was jointly produced by Zed Studios and Anandita Studios, features Nawazuddin in a dual role, one of which is transgender. Important parts are also played by Ila Arun, Saurabh Sachdeva, Rajesh Kumar, and Ivanka Das. Zee5 is broadcasting it live.
On the professional front, Anurag Kashyap most recently directed the neo-noir thriller movie “Kennedy.” Rahul Bhat and Sunny Leone play the key roles.
