Anupam Kher Talks About the time he Cursed Mahesh Bhatt

When Mahesh Bhatt replaced Anupam Kher in the smash Saaransh, Kher sobbed and swore at him.

Anupam Kher, a seasoned actor who has been in numerous hit films, is one of Bollywood’s most admired and respected figures.. He demonstrated that it is not necessary to be the principal actor of a film to be noticed by the audience by appearing in numerous blockbuster blockbusters. Simply play your part with conviction. That’s all that’s required. Today, we bring to you a flashback from the actor’s admission that he cried and swore at Mahesh Bhatt when he learned that the creators of the movie Saaransh had replaced him. What transpired next is an intriguing tale that you should know.

Anupam has worked in the industry for a considerable amount of time and has acted in more than 150 films. His flexibility can be seen in his work, and his damdaar performance in Saaransh is still regarded as one of his best to date. However, did you know that he almost got the role and that it was not an easy task for him to get it?

Anupam Kher once discussed his part in Saaransh in an interview. The actor admitted that he was only 28 years old when he portrayed the part of an older guy. Following the success of the movie, he went on to sign 57 more projects, but the actor’s journey to landing the role is an intriguing one. Although he had initially been offered the part, 10 days before filming began, he got to know Sanjeev Kumar and took over for him. The news devastated him, so he made the decision to pay Mahesh Bhatt one last visit. He stated I had been rehearsing and preparing to play that old man for six months. I used to go out wearing dhotis and kurtas; I used to observe old people, I would use a walking stick. We were supposed to begin shooting on January 1, and on December 20, my friend told me that he’d heard a rumour at Rajshri Productions that I wasn’t doing that film anymore.”

He added that he casually informed Mahesh Bhatt that the company does not want a novice when they spoke over the phone. Anupam Kher then made the decision to pay Mahesh Bhatt one last visit to expose him as a phoney since he felt deceived. He spoke “I took the cab to his house, and I walked up the stairs. He praised me for taking the news sportingly, but I told him to look out of his window and see the car that was standing there. It had all my belongings, and I told him that before leaving, I wanted to tell him what a fraud he is… I wanted to make final climactic statement, and I told him that as a Brahmin man, I was cursing him.”

Anupam Kher’s career was permanently changed by the role because Mahesh Bhatt, who was impressed by his movements, instructed the productions that Anupam will play the part.
