Anupam Kher recently opened up about the growing troll culture on social media and supported Alia Bhatt after she faced criticism for her appearance at the Cannes Film Festival 2026.
In an interview, Anupam said he feels pity for people who constantly criticize celeb’s just to stay relevant. He added that trolling has become a habit and even joked that some people may be getting paid for it as everyone know.
Anupam praised Alia for confidently representing India on an international platform and said she handled the negativity in a mature and amazing way.
According to him successful stars know how to deal with such criticism.
On the professional front Anupam is currently busy with his theatre play Jaane Pehchaane Anjane. He said performing on stage gives him immense joy and keeps him energetic and motivated as an actor.
