Pandem Kodi released 13 years ago and became a huge blockbuster in Tamil, Telugu establishing Vishal as a box office hero in both the languages. Now, Pandem Kodi-2 released on 18th October and the movie did not make much noise in Telugu after opening weekend.
In Tamil, the movie has become the highest opening weekend grosser for Vishal. Producer of the film in Telugu, Tagore Madhu shared about the film performance in Telugu and Tamil.
He said, ” I am happy with the turnout for the movie even though a big movie like Aravindha Sametha and another well-known hero Ram’s movie also released at the same time. The opening weekend in B and C centers are very good.
Even on Monday and Tuesday, the movie held on well. N. Linguswamy, the director has plans to make Pandem Kodi into a big franchise of village action dramas and there will be the 3rd film for sure,” concluded the producer. Right now, Linguswamy wants to make the biopic of Jayalalitha with Nayantara in the lead role, it seems.
