Mahesh Babu, the superstar in Telugu film industry, is facing significant copyright claims from writer Sharath Chandra. Chandra says that two of Mahesh’s big budget hit films, “Srimanthudu” and “Maharshi,” copied his stories scene for scene without his permission.

In the case of “Srimanthudu,” Chandra alleges that the script closely resembles his story published in Swathi weekly called “Chachentha Prema.” A criminal case has already been filed against director Koratala Siva.
Now, Chandra is targeting “Maharshi,” claiming it too mirrors his work. He intends to pursue legal action once the verdict for the “Srimanthudu” case is delivered. While Koratala Siva is already grappling with legal issues, Vamshi Paidipally may soon face similar problems.
