The latest action crime film ‘Animal’, featuring Ranbir Kapoor and directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, created waves in the entertainment industry with its massive success. Made on a budget of 200 crore, the movie took an independent route by not selling its rights to third parties and earned 140 crore through non-theatrical rights before its release.
Upon hitting the screens, ‘Animal’ became a blockbuster, raking in a whopping 800 crore worldwide and joining the prestigious 500 Crore Club in India within three weeks of its theatrical run. Reports suggest that it amassed a share of over 350 crore and is anticipated to end its theatrical journey at around 400 crore in earnings.
Even after accounting for production, publicity costs, commissions, and other expenses, the film is projected to yield a profit of approximately 300 crore for the producers. Interestingly, director Sandeep Vanga, also a producer of the film alongside T-Series, stands to benefit significantly from this success.
With plans already underway for a sequel titled ‘Animal Park,’ the team aims to capitalize on the movie’s popularity. Initial preparations for the sequel are reportedly underway, reflecting the desire to cash in on the fervor surrounding the franchise and its potential for further success.
