Anees Bazmee Set To Direct Akshay Kumar In A Remake

Venkatesh recently scored a huge hit with Sankranthiki Vasthunam a family entertainer directed by Anil Ravipudi, starring Aishwarya Rajesh and Meenakshi Chaudhary.

Produced by Dil Raju and the film became one of the biggest successes in terms of return on investment (ROI).

There have been talks about a Hindi remake and rumors now suggest that it is likely to happen with Akshay Kumar in the lead.

Anees Bazmee known for films like Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and Singh Is King is expected to direct the Hindi version.

Dil Raju is said to produce this film too under his Sri Venkateswara Creations banner. With the OTT boom and mixed results of recent remakes in Bollywood and it will be interesting to see how this Hindi version performs with audiences.
