Anees Bazmee Brings Akshay Kumar Back To Comedy

Filmmaker Anees Bazmee has confirmed that he is teaming up with Akshay Kumar again after 15 years. There were rumours about their reunion for some time and Bazmee has now made it official by announcing a new comedy film.

He said the story is almost done and shoot will start soon if everything goes as planned.

While few reports said it might be a remake of Sankranthiki Vasthunam, Bazmee did not comment on that.

Bazmee also spoke about his great bond with Akshay saying they share mutual respect and have stayed in touch even after their last film together. He added that Akshay was super happy when he heard the story.

Earlier reports suggested the film is inspired by a plot involving a man caught between his wife and ex-girlfriend with changes being made to suit Hindi audiences. Meanwhile Akshay Kumar has a busy lineup with Haiwaan, Bhoot Bangla and Hera Pheri 3 all directed by Priyadarshan.
