Bollywood actress Ananya Pandey made her debut with Karan Johar’s production venture, Student of the Year 2. The actress even received the Filmfare award for her performance in the Hindi film. Now, it is time for young Ananya to venture into South film industries. Director Puri Jagannadh took to Twitter to reveal that he has roped in Ananya to play the female lead in Vijay Deverakonda’s Fighter. The film, which is based on the life of a boxer, will be a Telugu and Hindi bilingual. It is said that Fighter is a pan-Indian film that will be released in other languages as well.
Apart from Ananya, there is another Bollywood connect to Fighter. Filmmaker Karan Johar’s production house Dharma Production is one of the producers along with Puri Jagannadh and Charmme Kaur. The shooting of Fighter is expected to begin in the coming months. Vijay Deverakonda took boxing lessons to play his part with authenticity. He will also be sporting a long hairdo for his role in the film. The remaining details regarding the film’s cast and crew will be announced soon. Meanwhile, the actor’s recent release World Famous Lover failed to impress the audience and is being criticized by the critics and audience.
