In Kalki 2898 AD, Prabhas appears in a special episode as Karna while also playing the main role of Bhairava.
Directed by Nag Ashwin, the film became a massive blockbuster and collected great numbers worldwide. The sequel, Kalki 2 is currently under production.
Earlier lyricist Anantha Sriram criticized the way Karna was portrayed in the film. Now he has once again repeated his opinion and said he still stands by his comments.
In an interview, he explained that the epics Ramayana and Mahabharata are not just stories but part of India’s history.
He added that changing such characters for commercial reasons or glorifying negative roles is not right.
