An interesting crowd-funding project

Many fimmakers wait for an opportunity and spend time thinking about what they could have done had they got an opportunity. Mahesh Kathi brought into Telugu Cinema a successful model in foreign countries crowd funding and decided to make a movie like Pesarattu. Even though it is a bad start the idea is not wrong. Now, young filmmaker with a project ready to go on sets, is asking for your help. His name is Nani Vidhyadh and this is what he wrote about the film, Gaami, his feature debut that he hopes to make with your contribution.

Believing that you have watched the video , now I can say, not only I am the one who will be part of the future journey of my debut feature film, but also each one of you. It has been a hell of journey trying to communicate this ambition to many ….but if I keep doing this….I think I’ll spend the rest of my life communicating , rather than making it into a living breathing form. But now at this juncture, I have to say that I had to cross a never crossed bridge internally, fight some of my darkest inner fears, restructure my belief system to convince myself a lot to finally share this with you.

Honestly I have made short films which many people had tough time understanding them, but they were exciting for me in some ways, in other ways I did them for myself but this is different, I believe I have a story which resonates with a larger audience as much as it excites me enough to have sleepless nights and with that confidence I can solemnly ask you to become an inflammable value to our non exhausting ambition. In order to make this project “GAAMI” happen, I need you to join with us by funding this project.

The budget of project “GAAMI” is zeroed to Rs 85 Lakhs . We believe in our pragmatic alternate methods of film making rather than the expensive obsolete orthodox techniques. You can be anyone who loves, encourages cinema, Irrespective of your addition of value, each one of you will be a definite value adder to this project. To simplify the complex things, for the convenience of our value adders, we have divided the total budget into various denominations of values.

1) Value of Rs 10,00,000/- (3 Value adders) – One of the 7 ambitious sets of project “GAAMI” can be constructed.

2) Value of Rs 5,00,000 /- (6 Value adders ) – A single schedule can been done.

3) Value of Rs 1,00,000 /- (9 Value adders ) – An imaginative character comes real with believable Prosthetic makeup.

4) Value of Rs 50,000 /- (18 Value adders) – live instrumentation for an arousing Background Score.

5) Value of Rs 10,000/- (25 Value adders) – A boring Ambience turns into story driven Art work.

6) Value of Rs 5,000/- (50 Value adders) – A day of shoot with an Additional Camera.

7) Value of Rs 1,000/- (100 Value adders) – An Actor turn into a character with this costume.

8 ) Value of Rs 500 /- (200 Value adders) – Worthless piece of material chiseled into plot driven prop.
