Amyra Dastur has earned a name for her beauty and also the way, she performs on screen. But she has been doing roles that have her emoting in serious scenes and romance. She is good dancer and those skills have been explored too. But Amyra never did a movie where she has to perform in a complete comic role.
She got that opportunity in Rajugadu. The actress is happy to share her experience with media and she said, “I am playing a comic role for the first time in my career. I wanted to do a mass entertainer for almost since the starting of my career. But had a feeling that I may not fit in the complete comic roles. Rajugadu came my way and I took a leap of faith and the role as a challenge. I am glad I could pull it off.”
She also said, “Sanjana Reddy, the director, even though a newcomer knows her stuff really well. She is a hands on director and she knows exactly how to get you into the character. I enjoyed wearing sarees in the film and I found it more elegant to dance in a saree. I fell in love with Indian traditional wear after the film. I will be seen as a city girl in first half and a village belle in second half.”
