This is a shocking news for all the fans of Telugu comedy. Great comedians like Brahmanandam, Kota Srinivasa Rao got opportunites from Jandhyala and they proved themselves. Gundu Hanumantha Rao, also got a chance from Jandhyala and he has put forth his best foot forward as a person with hearing disability in Aha Naa Pellanta.

From there on, he went on to act in more than 400 films and Amrutham serial made him a star comedian in Telugu TV. He won TV Nandi Awards for being Anji, the cook, in the series. Even though few cast members changed with time, he continued for six years with the team and still, he is revered as Anji by many. Unfortunately, he couldn’t continue to give us the same level of entertainment due to ill-health and succumbed to heart stroke on Monday, 19th February.

His son and family members have been looking after him for the past three years. He recently, got some financial help from Movie Artists Association and Megastar Chiranjeevi to get complete treatment for his kidney ailment. He expressed his wish to recover soon and act in Amrutham-2, as Anji again. But he had to leave us all, without being our favourite Anji again on screen.
