Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi play significant roles in the Atlee-directed movie, which also features a brief cameo by Deepika Padukone. In a recent interview, DP disclosed that she didn’t charge a penny for the SRK starrer, delivering an informed yet heartwarming response to the accusations that the cast of the movie received huge fees.
Within the first week of its release, Jawan had already exceeded numerous notable films and was smashing records at the box office. The movie has made over 600 crores globally, is still performing well, and it appears that SRK fever won’t abate any time soon.
Speaking of the most recent news, there were allegations that Deepika Padukone demanded a staggering sum of Rs 15–30 crores for her appearance in the Shah Rukh Khan film Jawan, however these rumours were untrue. The actress reportedly didn’t collect a dime! That’s accurate.
She was asked in an interview with The Week if she charges for special appearances in her films, to which she replied, “No, I don’t.” “I wanted to be a part of 83 because I wanted it to be an ode to women who support their husbands’ success,” Deepika Padukone continued. My mum did it in front of me. This was my way of paying respect to the wives who give up things to advance their husbands’ jobs. Other than that, if Shah Rukh Khan makes any special appearances, I will be there. Likewise for Rohit Shetty.
When asked about her relationship with Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, the actress remarked, “We are each other’s fortunate charm. However, we are beyond fortunate. We regard one another as belonging to us.
“I am one of the few people he is vulnerable with. There is so much trust and respect, and I think that luck is just the cherry on the top.” the actress concluded
