The movie is well-known for its combat sequence with Puneet, in which Bachchan nearly died after making an incorrect jump.

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan said he is eternally grateful to his supporters and fans for their prayers for his health and rehabilitation after he sustained an injury while filming “Coolie.”

Manmohan Desai and Kader Khan wrote and directed the action comedy “Coolie” in 1983. Amitabh Bachchan plays railway worker Iqbal Aslam Khan in the movie. He was separated from his mother Salma (Waheeda Rehman) as a result of Zafar’s (Kadar Khan) preoccupation with her, which led to the dissolution of her family and her mental health.

Years later, Iqbal and Sunny, her sons, are brought together by fate and go out to rescue Salma from Zafar’s captivity. Additionally, Shoma Anand, Suresh Oberoi, Rati Agnihotri, and Puneet Issar appear.

The fight scene with Puneet, in which Bachchan nearly died from a botched jump, is one of the movie’s most famous combat scenes. Amitabh Bachchan, the host of the quiz-based reality series “Kaun Banega Crorepati,” invited Jasnil Kumar from Anwak, Uttar Pradesh, to the hot seat in episode 28.

“Sir, I’d like to share something,” the contestant remarked. Rituals are performed in Ujjain and at the Kashi Vishwanath temple in Benaras. When Pakistan plays India in a match, when India is competing in the World Cup finals, and when the greatest actor of the 20th century is ill. We do rites. This is the real story.

Amitabh responded to him by saying, “Thank you very much. People prayed for my health and recovery after I was hurt in 1982 while filming “Coolie,” and I will always be grateful for that. To my well-wishers, it’s something lowly.

“I don’t think I can ever pay back that loan. They prayed for me, and I’m here as a result,” he continued.
