Your eyebrows will be raised by a viral video that shows a journalist recalling Amitabh Bachchan’s disrespectful actions towards Jaya Bachchan.
Various rumours about Amitabh Bachchan’s personal and professional lives have often surfaced. He has always been the buzz of the town for one reason or another, whether it is his tumultuous marriage to Jaya Bachchan or his purported love affair speculations with Rekha and Parveen Babi. We recently came across an old video of a journalist describing the day Big B erupted on Jaya Bachchan like a volcano.
The incident occurred at his 50th birthday party, which was punctuated by an enraged outburst. It so occurred that the journalist in question was upset with his wife when he went for an interview.
Journalist Karan Thapar remembered in the widely shared video that “during one of the tape changes, Amitabh Bachchan told me a tale about a Warren Beatty interview he had seen where the interviewer had questioned Warren Beatty about the women in his life. “We’ve all heard the stories about the women in Beatty’s life,” he continued, “but to have him questioned about this was a different experience altogether.” And I thought, “This is a strange thing to say to someone who is interviewing you during this time,” to myself.
He added, “And I asked him about Rekha, Parveen Babi– the two ladies I was aware of and beyond that I didn’t know so I switched to his wife who was sitting on the sofa beside him and I said “Do you believe your husband?” She looked at him and she said, “Yes I do. Why on earth shouldn’t I?” I said, “Are you saying that because you genuinely believe him or only because he’s sitting beside you?” She laughed and said “No, no no. I always believed my husband.
The remainder of the prepared interview was then resumed, and we continued for an additional 40 minutes. Amitabh Bachchan adamantly asked that the team and I stay for lunch once it was over. Despite the fact that we objected and said, “No, we should go back,” “No no, you must,” he responded. Thus, we did. Amitabh Bachchan started to be irritable and sour when we were about to sit down to lunch. Then it swiftly transformed into irritation and wrath before erupting like a volcano. He treated her in a very irritably impolite way in front of everyone. Although he didn’t say anything offensive, he was quite disrespectful in his demeanour, tone, and actions. We immediately understood that this was meant for us.
Not for poor Jaya Bachchan, but for me specifically. However, she was the target of this exploding rage, which was spewing out like lava from a volcano. We hastily excused ourselves and went,” he said in his conclusion.
