Amitabh Bachchan-Ajay Devgn’s ‘MayDay’ goes on floors in Hyderabad

‘MayDay’, starring Big B Amitabh Bachchan in a key role, is a Bollywood film that is directed by star Hindi actor Ajay Devgn. Besides playing a key role in the film, Devgn is also its producer, bankrolling it on his home banner Films. He is wielding the megaphone for a film featuring the legendary Amitabh for the first time. This is also their first collaboration together in seven years. Rakul Preet Singh and Angira Dhar are its heroines.

On Saturday, the thriller’s puja function was held at Hyderabad’s Ramoji Film City. Its regular shoot, too, has begun on the same day. The makers announced that ‘MayDay’ will be released on 29 April 2022. Balu Munnangi, the prominent Telugu astrologer who is a friend of Ajay Devgn, gave the clap. It was Munnangi who had given the clap for ‘Tanhaji’, this year’s biggest Bollywood blockbuster. If the sentiment works out, ‘MayDay’ is going to be a huge blockbuster.

Speaking on the occasion, Ajay Devgn said, “I am happy to officially begin ‘MayDay’. The film will be completed in a start-to-finish shooting schedule. I seek blessings from the Almighty and my parents. Nothing is complete without the support of all my fans, family and well-wishers. The film releases on 29 April 2022.”
