According to reports, Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan will work together again for the first time in 32 years on the Thalaivar170 directed by Jai Bhim director TJ Gnanavel.
After 32 years apart, Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan, two legends of Indian cinema, are supposedly getting back together for a new movie. According to industry rumors, the actors will share screen time in TJ Gnanavel’s Thalaivar170. Big B is reportedly being considered for a significant part in the Rajinikanth film.
The actor revealed his upcoming film, tentatively titled Thalaivar 178, with Jai Bhim director TJ Gnanavel after Jailer. While the movie hasn’t yet started shooting, online chatter about the actors is rampant. The Goodbye actor is reportedly in negotiations to star alongside Rajinikanth in his untitled movie. The official confirmation of this is still pending, though.
Well, if the speculations are to be accepted, Rajinikanth and Bachchan’s long-awaited reunion after more than three decades will take place in this. Together, they produced blockbuster hits including Hum, Andha Kaanoon, Geraftaar, and Kochadaiyaan.
Additionally, it was recently claimed that Chiyaan Vikram had been asked to play the antagonist in the movie. TJ Gnanavel reportedly approached Vikram about playing a villain in the Rajinikanth film. Ponniyin Selvan reportedly turned down the offer, but the director has no intention of changing his mind. He is making every effort to persuade the actor that he is the only person who could do the role to perfection.
Rajinikanth is rumored to be portraying a cop in Thalaivar 170, which is based on a real-life occurrence. Lyca Productions provided the financial backing for the movie, and Anirudh Ravichandran wrote the score. The film will be released in theatres by the end of 2024 and is anticipated to start shooting soon.
Rajinikanth is anticipating the release of Nelson Dilipkumar’s flick Jailer. Actors Jackie Shroff from Bollywood, Shivarajkumar from Kannada, and Malayalam legend Mohanlal all play significant roles in the much-awaited movie. In supporting roles, it also has Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu, Vasanth Ravi, Vinayakan, and others. This August’s Vinayaka Chaturthi Festival will see the release of the movie.
