Indraganti Mohan Krishna, the National award winning director, has made a grand comeback last year with Nani’s Gentleman. He scored a commercial success after a debacle like Bandipotu with Allari Naresh and Sampoornesh Babu as leads. The director then announced that he would like to work with Avasarala Srinivas for his next. He also roped in Adivi Sesh for this two hero project, Ami Tumi. With Gentleman he introduced Nivetha Thomas and in Ami Tumi, he will be introducing Eesha and Aditi Myakal to Telugu Screen.
Adivi Sesh, after the success of Kshanam was busy in talking his subject to different languages. As the project in other languages was taking more time, he decided to listen to stories that connect with his sensibilities. Indraganti Mohan Krishna gave him exactly that and the actor immediately agreed to be a part of the movie. Avasarala Srinivas, even though wanted to pursue his direction and writing facets, put a pause on his plans to direct Nani for Babu Baaga Busy and Ami Tumi. The film started shooting early this year and it is nearing completion.
The director promised to make a light hearted fun film after dark, Gentleman, something on the cards of Astha Chemma, his first commercial movie. Ami Tumi is such a movie with the two actors going head to head in a situational comedy, as per the close sources. The Talkie part of the movie will be completed by 23rd March and the songs shoot will be all done by April. The movie release date will be announced by the team soon. Mani Sharma is collaborating with Indraganti for second time after, Gentleman.
