Ameesha Patel Opens up on Banter with Bipasha Basu

Ameesha Patel recently discussed her feud with Bipasha Basu while promoting her new movie, Gadar 2. It all began when she made a joke about her movie Jism on Koffee with Karan.

Actress Ameesha Patel has at last responded to Bipasha Basu’s previous remark about her as she prepares for the debut of her new movie, Gadar 2. Ameesha mentioned Bipasha’s hips on a Koffee With Karan episode that aired after her movie Jism, which also starred John Abraham, was released. She even admitted back then that she would not have made a movie like Jism because her grandma would not have approved of it. Ameesha couldn’t have performed in a movie like Jism because she didn’t have the correct body, according to Bipasha, who later appeared on the show with Lara Dutta. Ameesha recently explained why she never would have acted in a movie like Jism.

Bipasha and Lara appeared on Karan Johar’s show in 2005 and discussed Ameesha’s “physical attributes.” Ameesha doesn’t have the physical characteristics to bear a role like Jism, the new mother had said. It is a very sincere comment, but I wouldn’t portray her as a Jism carrier. You must have a really strong personality and be a woman in every way, not just physically. I believe she is too little and frail to pull that off. Her entire frame is off.

The actor from Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai recently stated, “I still stand by what I say. Basic Instinct isn’t an awful movie, in my opinion. She is a goddess, Sharon Stone. Jism was a beautiful movie with excellent acting and music. I’m only asking why Bipasha. Being a Sharon Stone does not make me feel at ease. I believe it takes courage to physically be there. I can be described as hot and sexy. I don’t feel at ease displaying that much skin on screen or being that outspoken.

Ameesha talked about her decision not to wear a bikini in the song Lazy Lamhe from Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic during the same interview. “I was the first Yash Raj heroine who had the guts to tell Adi (Aditya Chopra) that I will not be in a bikini for Lazy Lamhe,” she claimed. Hence, the bikini top and hot pants. I informed the top producer in the nation that I would not feel at ease in the movie and would be willing to leave. Given my admiration for Bipasha, it wasn’t meant to be offensive.

Gadar 2, starring Ameesha and Sunny Deol, will premiere in theatres on August 11.
