A court in Moradabad has issued a non bailable warrant against actress Ameesha Patel in connection with a 2017 breach of contract case.
This complaint was filed by event organiser Pawan Verma who claimed he paid Rs 14.50 lakhs to book her for a wedding event in Moradabad. He also said travel with stay and food arrangements were made.
However Ameesha allegedly did not attend the event. Verma stated that Rs 10 lakhs was returned in cash and the remaining Rs 4.50 lakhs was given through a cheque that later bounced.
After several court summons went unanswered the court issued a non-bailable warrant. Ameesha responded that the matter was already settled years ago and claimed Pawan had signed a agreement too.
She also added that her lawyers will take action against him for false allegations.
