Amala Paul and Asif Ali recently visited St. Albert’s College in Ernakulam, Kochi, to promote their upcoming movie, Level Cross.
However, Amala Paul received criticism on the internet for wearing a short dress with a low neckline, which some found inappropriate and indecent. At a press conference reported by Onmanorama, Amala Paul responded to this criticism.
She explained that she wore what she felt comfortable in and didn’t consider her outfit inappropriate. According to Amala Paul, the real issue was how the cameras captured her appearance.
She mentioned, “The problem lies with how the cameras portrayed my outfit. I chose to wear something comfortable for me, which I didn’t think was inappropriate for the event.”
Amala Paul clarified that despite online opinions, the students at the college were fine with her attire.
“The students were completely okay with what I wore. I dress in various styles, whether traditional or western. By choosing that outfit, I aimed to encourage students to feel confident about their clothing choices,” she added.
