The disappointing performance of War 2 has shaken YRF’s plans to build the YRF Spy Universe into India’s biggest film franchise. But Aditya Chopra isn’t letting this stop him.
He is reworking the strategy with renewed focus. The next film, Alpha, starring Alia Bhatt, Sharvari, Bobby Deol and Anil Kapoor is seen as key to regaining momentum. Hrithik Roshan will also make a special appearance as Agent Kabir.
However the impact of cameos in Alpha has been affected by War 2 performance. So, Aditya Chopra has reached out to Shah Rukh Khan for a cameo as Pathaan.
Shah Rukh has asked for time to check his schedule as he is busy with King. Aditya has requested 3 to 4 days in early November, aiming for a Christmas 2025 release.
If not a full cameo, Shah Rukh may appear in an end credit scene. Aditya is also exploring a cameo for Salman as Tiger but the role is still being finalized. Alpha is directed by Shiv Ravail.
