IconStar Allu Arjun was arrested by Chikkadpally police in connection with the Sandhya Theatre incident. He was later taken to the Chikkadpally police station.
The incident occurred during the release celebrations of Pushpa 2 at Sandhya Theatre where a stampede led to the tragic death of a woman named Revathi. Following this, the police registered a case naming Allu Arjun as one of the accused.
Earlier Arjun had filed a petition seeking dismissal of the case against him. His sudden arrest has left the film industry and fans shocked.
Previously Iconstar Allu Arjun had reacted to the incident and expressed his condolences to the victim’s family. He assured full support to them, stating, “We were shocked to hear about the incident at Sandhya Theatre. This news prevented us from actively participating in Pushpa celebrations”.
“We make movies for people to enjoy at theatres. I extend my deepest condolences to Revathi’s family. On my behalf I am donating Rs. 25 lakhs to the family and am ready to provide any additional support needed. I will personally meet Revathi’s family soon”.
He shared this message through a video posted on Twitter offering his support and expressing his sorrow over the tragic event.
