Revathi, a woman who tragically passed away at Sandhya Theatre on December 4th during the screening of “Pushpa 2“, left everyone in shock. Mani lead of the film Allu Arjun, on behalf of the “Pushpa” team, announced a donation of Rs. 25 lakhs to her family as a gesture of support.
Allu Arjun shared “I am deeply saddened by the incident at Sandhya 70mm. My heartfelt condolences to the family during this difficult time. I assure them they are not alone in this pain and will personally meet them”. “
While giving them space to grieve, I promise to provide every possible support to help them through this tough period”. He expressed his feelings in a video shared on Twitter.
Reflecting on the incident, he said, “For 25 years, it’s been our tradition to watch films in the main theatre. Hearing about this tragedy left us shocked and in no mood to celebrate the film”.
Allu Arjun continued, “Movies are made for people to enjoy in theatres, but this incident leaves me speechless. I offer my deepest condolences to Revathi Garu’s family. While the loss is irreplaceable, I hope to provide some support by donating Rs. 25 lakhs to secure the family’s future. Through my actions, I want to show that we are here for them. Team Pushpa will also cover the medical expenses incurred”.
He said every one to be cautious in theatres, saying, “We create movies for entertainment, but such incidents deeply affect us. Please stay safe while enjoying films”.
