Allu Arjun might be busy wrapping up his home production for Sarrainodu, an action-entertainer which is slated for release in April. But now we hear the actor has signed on the dotted line to star in a full-fledged Tamil film.

Although Allu Arjun’s films were dubbed and released in Tamil, the upcoming film being directed by Lingusamy will be the star’s first Tamil film. The untitled film will go on the floors toward the end of next month. Plans are to wrap up the film in a short period and release it in October.

We hear Lingusamy opted out of a sequel to Pandem Kodi starring Vishal (who recently signed up to reprise NTR’s role in Temper’s Tamil remake) because a film with AlluA rjun seems more commercially viable than doing a film with Vishan who hasn’t had a big box office success in a long time.

A lot of stars have been trying to expand their markets recently into the other Southern bastions and looks like the stylish star also wants to cash in on it. As of now the leading lady for the project has not been finalised but reports say they want a relatively new and fresh face opposite Bunny.
