Amid tensions on the India-Pakistan border, producer Allu Aravind announced that a portion of the profits from his film #Single will be donated to support Indian soldiers.
Speaking at the film’s success meet in Hyderabad, he said it didn’t feel right to celebrate when soldiers are protecting the country. The event, he clarified, was held only to thank audiences for their support.
Aravind mentioned that the release date was decided before the current situation, and the team even considered postponing it.
However, since hundreds of workers and families depend on the film’s release and the theatre business, they decided to go ahead. He expressed hope that people would understand their intent.
Starring Sree Vishnu, #Single is a romantic comedy that has been well-received. Allu Aravind emphasized his respect for the armed forces and confirmed that part of the film’s earnings will be donated to their welfare.
