Ranbir Kapoor has attempted to imitate some of the most well-known movie memes. In a new video, he recreated scenes from Rajinikanth, Nana Patekar, himself, and even his wife, Alia Bhatt. Ranbir tried out various meme templates in a promotional video for his film Tu Jhooti Main Makkaar. “Meri film Tu Jhooti Main Makkaar mein jitna bada main relationship expert hu, usse bhi bada meme expert hu (In my film Tu Jhooti Main Makkaar, I am a bigger meme expert than a relationship expert,” he says in the Jio Saavan video.
Following that, he recreates scenes from famous movies. The first is Rajinikanth’s ‘Sh*t’ meme, which Ranbir masterfully executes. Then there’s Rami Malek’s Hackerman meme from Mr Robot. He then impersonates Nana Patekar’s character Uday Bhai from Welcome. “Control RK control,” he declares.
He performs his ‘Tu, jaa’ line from Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, followed by a Channa Mereya reprise. The final video, however, is the clear winner. Ranbir sobs as he impersonates Alia from Raazi. “Mujhe ghar jaana hai,” he screams as he recreates Alia’s hit film’s climax. Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor, earned 15.73 crores in net box office collection on its first release day. It is now approaching the 100 crore mark at the box office. The romantic comedy, directed by Luv Ranjan, hit theatres on Wednesday.
