Actress Alia Bhatt looked amazing while promoting Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani in Delhi wearing a lovely ombre saree by Manish Malhotra.
In a lovely ombre-hued chiffon saree, actress Alia Bhatt channelled her inner ideal Karan Johar “heroine” on Tuesday at the premiere of the song “Ve Kamleya” from the upcoming movie “Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani.”
Alia was spotted in the national capital donning a chiffon ombre saree with a mixture of pastel pink, lavender, orange, and yellow hues.
It was worn by Alia Bhatt with a purple sleeveless shirt, pink and blue-tinged silver jhumkas, and a silver ring on her finger. She chose a natural makeup look with open hair, glowing nude lips, and accentuated cheeks.
Alia Bhatt perfectly embodied the stereotypical Bollywood heroine that director Karan Johan usually features in his love stories, many of which have gone on to become box office hits.
Ranveer, on the other hand, looked sharp in a black suit with a dress shirt and black sunglasses.
In keeping with the playful mood, Ranveer even gave a song—”Tum Kya Mile”—a twist by rephrasing a line that was intended to honour Alia Bhatt’s chiffon saree.
Even in the “Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani” song “Tum Kya Mile,” Alia Bhatt could be seen sporting a number of chiffon sarees. The song seems to be a tribute to the late director Yash Chopra because it makes you think of his films like “Chandani,” in which the late Sridevi dazzled in a yellow sari, and “Silsila,” in which Rekha dazzled in white.
In a vlog, Alia Bhatt identified the song’s black chiffon saree as her favourite outfit. KJo was heard remarking, “Three decades of chiffon sarees,” in that video.
Chiffon sarees have been in Karan’s films previously.
Anushka Sharma, an actress, was seen in the 2016 movie “Ae Dil Hai Mushkil” dancing heartily while wearing a yellow chiffon saree. She also wore a crimson chiffon saree in the movie, really nailing the look.

How could anybody ever forget Kajol-Shah Rukh Khan’s classic scene from “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai,” when she wore a peach saree for the basketball game and the memorable red saree she wore that heightened the sensation of love and romance during a rain sequence in the 1998 movie, which also starred Rani Mukerji.
‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani’ stars Alia Bhatt as the witty Bengali journalist Rani Chatterjee and Ranveer as the flamboyant Punjabi Rocky Randhawa.
The movie, which is billed as a cinematic spectacle, also features Shabana Azmi, Jaya Bachchan, and Dharmendra in significant parts.
The Viacom18 Studios and Dharma Productions film, which stars Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh in the key roles, was produced by Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, and Apoorva Mehta. It is scheduled to be released on July 28.
