Alia Bhatt has appealed to people to support those affected by the devastating floods in Assam.
Sharing a decent message on Insta she said the floods have claimed more than 60 lives and forced lakhs of people to leave their homes.
Many families have also lost their land, livestock and loved ones. Alia said Assam faces floods every year but the scale of the damage remains heartbreaking for sure.
She stressed that the state needs both immediate relief and long term rehabilitation without fail. She also said she will share details of organizations working on the ground so people can contribute to the relief efforts for sure.
Several other celebrities have also raised awareness about the crisis. On the work front Alia will next be seen in Love & War which is releasing in January 2027.
