Ali Fazal and Richa Chadha are set to star together as a lead pair for the first time in an untitled comedy directed by Shashie Vermaa.
Though the real life couple appeared together in the Fukrey films this is their first movie as romantic leads. The film, produced by Scenework Productions and Giriraj Productions, also features Kumud Mishra in a key role.
Set in Delhi while it is a slice of life comedy with humour, emotions and a social message. Ali said he loved the script and is excited to share a fresh on-screen dynamic with Richa.
Richa praised the realistic writing and relatable story. Director Shashie Vermaa called it a character driven comedy about relationships and everyday life.
The film will begin shooting in late 2026 and is scheduled for release in April 2027.
