Actor Akshay Oberoi, who portrays an Air Force pilot in the movie “Fighter,” remembers the first time he saw Tom Cruise in the movie “Top Gun,” in which the Hollywood star plays a pilot.
Akshay became a devoted Tom Cruise admirer after seeing the movie.
Akshay Oberoi said: “I grew up watching films like Top Gun, but never thought I would get to essay the role of an Air Force pilot. I watched it when I was very young and it was so thrilling to see Tom Cruise flying a fighter jet and the way he looked in his uniform.”
“I remember it being so aspirational for me,” Akshay Oberoi continued. Even as a fan, I recently watched the newest Top Gun movie, Maverick, and I was just as enthused as I was the first time. I was able to cross off the item on my bucket list to play an Air Force pilot thanks to the chance to be a part of Fighter.
