Earlier this month, Bollywood star, Akshay Kumar commenced shooting for the aerial action thriller, the Sandeep Kewlani and Abhishek Kapur directed Sky Force in Mumbai. The Dinesh Vijan and Jio Studios production is a period film set in the 1960s and 1970s against the backdrop of Indian Air Force. And now, we had exclusively learnt that Veer Pahariya will be making his acting debut alongside Akshay Kumar in Sky Force.
Those who are unaware, Veer Pahariya is the son of renowned businessman, Sanjay Pahariya and has been in the news off late for close ties with Janhvi Kapoor. “Veer Pahariya has always aspired to be an actor and has also been training to be one. He waited it out through the pandemic and multiple scripts for getting the right opportunity.
The script of Sky Force warrants the presence of a fresh face and everything has come together for the launch of Veer Pahariya to the world of show biz. Dinesh Vijan and Jio Studios along with Akshay Kumar are working together to give Veer an ideal launch to the Hindi Film Industry,” reveal a source close to the production.
The plot of Sky Force is essentially a mentor protege tale with Akshay being a senior officer and Veer being his disciple. The film will be shot over a period of 4 months at varied locations across the country, which includes real air base. The shoot is going on at a brisk pace right now, however, there will be some breaks in middle giving enough time to the production and direction team to prep for the future schedules. “It’s a film set in the 1960s and 1970s, and hence, every shoot schedule will require the team to take time off for recreating the era. Akshay, Dinesh and the director duo want to create sets and rework on the real locations, rather than going for the VFX to recreate the yesteryear era,” reveal the sources.
