Paresh Rawal has exited Hera Pheri 3, the much-awaited comedy featuring Akshay Kumar in the lead.
Reports suggest Akshay Kumar, through his production house Cape of Good Films has sent a legal notice to Paresh, seeking Rs. 25 crores in damages. Akshay called him unprofessional stating Paresh had signed a legal contract before filming began.
Rawal had earlier joined Akshay and Suniel Shetty on the sets of the film, which is being directed by Priyadarshan. The teaser was planned to release before the IPL 2025 final.
While rumors claimed creative differences with the director led to Rawal’s exit, the actor clarified, “There are no creative differences. I just don’t feel like doing this film”.
Paresh Rawal’s portrayal of Baburao became iconic after the first Hera Pheri released in 2000. His absence in the third installment is a major change for the beloved franchise which is currently under production.
