Poonam Gill gave Akshay Kumar a lot of praise for a brand-new song in the film Mission Raniganj.
The daughter of mining engineer Jaswant Gill, the subject of the film “Mission Raniganj,” Poonam Gill, has given the new song, “Jalsa 2.0,” from the album high acclaim.
She even referred to the song as a “bomb song”.
What a bomb song!,” Poonam Gill commented in a message of congratulations to Akshay Kumar, describing her own delight of the song. Both my parents were excellent dancers. Papa served as the team’s captain during his time in college.
Poonam continued, “Akshay has captured the same energy and sweetness in his chemistry with Parineeti as I have seen between my mummy and papa,” further expressing her enthusiasm for the upbeat song. Jaswant Gill enjoyed dancing, and my mother also did. It’s a Punjabi DNA thing. a person with several skills.
The new movie from the Bollywood megastar honours one of India’s most underappreciated heroes by focusing on Jaswant Gill. For the uninitiated, Jaswant Gill was a mining engineer who oversaw the rescue effort at the Raniganj Coalfield mine in West Bengal in 1989, when over 65 miners were trapped owing to the blasting of walls, confining them in a very small, dark place. Water also filled in, making the entire situation even more dangerous.
Six miners lost their life when the walls of the mine collapsed owing to the blast, but Jaswant, who oversaw the rescue operations with 2,000 other engineers, devised a large capsule that was lowered using a crane and was able to safely transport the miners out.
The actor and Parineeti Chopra performed the song in “Jalsa 2.0,” presenting a high-octane dance routine that received praise and had a pop-infused bhangra music in the background.
‘Mission Raniganj: The Great Bharat Rescue’ is produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh, and Ajay Kapoor. It is directed by Tinu Suresh Desai, and Jjust Music provided the soundtrack. The film is scheduled to premiere on October 6, 2023.
