Akshay Kumar lashes out at Media for fake news against him

After news of his return as the brand ambassador for the Pan Masala company went viral, Akshay Kumar became enraged.

Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, and Shah Rukh Khan’s most recent advertisement for a pan masala brand did not sit well with internet users. After the advertisement, which debuted yesterday, October 10, quickly went viral, many fans criticised the actors for encouraging harmful habits.

While Akshay resigned from his position as Vimal’s brand ambassador in 2022 after receiving fierce criticism from his followers, this 2023 advertisement caught the eye of online users. Kumar went to X shortly after the significant backlash and refuted all rumours.

After news of his return as the brand ambassador for the Pan Masala company went viral, Akshay Kumar was enraged. The Hera Pheri actor criticised a news website for disseminating false information on X (formerly known as Twitter). He also let fans know that the advertisement was shot in 2021 and that its creators could only air it through the month’s end.

Akshay said in the statement, “‘Returns’ as ambassador? Here’s some fact check for you Bollywood Hungama, if by chance you are interested in things other than fake news. These ads were shot on 13th October, 2021. I have not had anything to do with the brand ever since I publicly announced the discontinuation of the endorsement. They can legally run the already-shot ads till the end of next month. Chill and do some real news.”

Akshay had earlier remarked, “With all humility, I step back, stating that he is no longer affiliated with the pan masala ad. I’ve made the decision to donate the entire endorsement fee to a deserving cause. The brand may keep running the commercials for as long as the binding contract on me is in effect, but I swear to use extra caution going forward. In exchange, I will always humbly beg for your love and well wishes.

On the professional front, Parineeti Chopra and Akshay recently appeared in Mission Raniganj. On its first day, Mission Raniganj made 2.75 crores. The movie’s box office results have been average.
