Akshay Kumar in place of Bellamkonda

Bollywood Superstar Akshay Kumar has his own place in the industry, always doing socially aware films, and sometimes straying from that to do comedies. Akshay has done several remakes in his career, his latest being Laxmii, the remake of the Tamil horror film Kanchana.

According to the latest reports, Akshay Kumar is getting ready for yet another remake and is about to step into the shoes of Bellamkonda Srinivas. Akshay Kumar is said to be in talks for the remake of Ratsasan, which was remade in Telugu as Rakshasudu. Ram Kumar directed the original Tamil film, in which Vishnu Vishal and Amala Paul played the lead roles. Bellamkonda Sreenivas and Anupama Parameswaran reprised these roles in Telugu, and the film was directed by Ramesh Varma.

The cast and crew of the Hindi version are yet to be announced, while there’s speculation that Ramesh Varma will be directing the Hindi version as well. On the other hand, Akshay Kumar’s cop film Sooryavanshi, directed by Rohit Shetty is yet to be released. The film’s release has been postponed several times due to the coronavirus pandemic. Apart from that, Akshay has several other films in hand currently, post the completion of which, the remake of Rakshasudu is expected to begin.
