Earlier few reports claimed that Akshay Kumar would play a key role in the sequel to the 2007 film Salaam-e-Ishq directed by Nikkhil Advani.
These rumours gained much attention after Akshay received praise for his performance in Bhooth Bangla creating huge excitement everywhere about his next project.
However recent updates have clarified that these reports are false. According to few sources Akshay Kumar has not signed the film and is not connected to the sequel in any way.
While a sequel to Salaam-e-Ishq is reportedly in development and its future is still uncertain. The original film featured multiple love stories and a big star cast.
All will now have to wait for an official announcement to know more details about the sequel.
