This year, Bollywood star Akshay Kumar had four theatrical releases in the form of Bachchan Pandey, Samrat Prithviraj, Raksha Bandhan and Ram Setu. Apart from the four releases, his yet another film, Cuttputlli had a direct-to-OTT release on Disney Plus Hotstar.
Surprisingly, none of the films managed to impress the audience. On professional front, 2022 is a disappointing year for the hero. Currently, Akshay Kumar is having five more films at the shooting stage. While one among them is Selfiee an official remake of the Malayalam movie, Driving Licence, the other movies are Oh My God 2, Kollywood movie, Soorarai Pottru remake, Capsule Gill and Veer Daudale Saat.

Being directed by Raj Mehta, Selfiee is a comedy-drama and also stars Emraan Hashmi as the second male lead.
