Akka Teaser: Keerthy Suresh Fiery Avatar In This Powerful Gangster Saga

Netflix hosted a grand event in Mumbai to announce the exciting line-up of their upcoming releases. The event also unveiled the highly anticipated teaser of Akka, a web series starring Keerthy Suresh and Radhika Apte. Keerthy and Radhika looked menacing in their appearance, offering a powerful viewing experience.

The first look video of Akka opens with ferocious Keerthy Suresh entering a room filled with her girl gang. Her raw, crude appearance has piqued the audience’s interest in the show. We also see a glimpse of Radhika Apte, who seems to be in a powerful position.

Set in the matriarchal society of a fictional city of Pernuru, South India, in the 1980s, Akka is ruled by women. As per the makers, the series “revolves around gangster queens whose matriarchal rule is challenged when an outsider brings an unseen threat, spiraling the all-powerful sisterhood into a chaos storm of violence and survival.” For the unaware, Akka means sister in Tamil and Telugu.

Written and directed by debutant Dharmaraj Shetty, Akka is produced by Aditya Chopra, Yogendra Mogre, and Akshaye Widhani under the banner of YRF Entertainments. Besides Keerthy and Apte, Akka also features Tanvi Azmi in an important role. Meanwhile, a release date is yet to be announced.
