No one knows the reasons behind the delay of Akhil Akkineni’s upcoming film Most Eligible Bachelor, which is being directed by Bhaskar, of Bommarillu fame. The film has been in the making for quite some time now, and was initially scheduled to release in April 2020, but got postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic. Furthermore, it was delayed once again due to other reasons, including the second wave of the pandemic this year.
The film has also been through several reshoots, and it is being said that the film is going through several more reshoots right now. There was some good buzz surrounding the film at first, but due to the several delays, the buzz surrounding the film has died slowly. In the meantime, Akhil has already begun shooting for director Surender Reddy’s Agent, and Pooja Hegde is busy with other films.
The teaser and trailer of MEB were also received well, but there’s no clarity over when the film will be released. The common opinion is that the film should be released as soon as possible before the remaining bit of buzz around the film also dies out.
