Akhil’s film finally gets a release date?

Akhil Akkineni debuted in Tollywood in 2014, with Akhil, directed by VV Vinayak. The film had good expectations on it but turned out to be a huge disaster upon release. Ever since then, Akhil hasn’t been able to deliver a good success and has been selecting his scripts carefully.

Akhil’s upcoming film, Most Eligible Bachelor, is directed by Bommarillu Bhaskar and has Pooja Hegde playing the female lead in the film. The teaser of the film received a good response upon its release, and the trailer of the film was also expected to release soon but got delayed as the film’s release got delayed due to several reasons, including both the waves of coronavirus.

Recently, there were rumours that Most Eligible Bachelor would get a direct OTT release, but these rumours have potentially been quashed now, with reports suggesting that the film will be released on August 13th, on the occasion of Independence Day. Given that the film has a decent buzz surrounding it, there are hopes that the film will turn out to be a success for Akhil. Apart from MEB, Akhil has Surender Reddy’s Agent in the pipeline, which is being made on a massive budget, with all the makings of a blockbuster.
