Akhil2 with Vikram Kumar to start during Sankranthi!

Akkineni Akhil has had a tough launch like his brother Naga Chaitanya. But Naga Chaitanya was extremely lucky to find Gautam Menon for his second film, Ye Maaya Chesave that launched his now beau, soon finance, Samantha Ruth Prabhu to screen with AR Rehman’s masterful melodies. After Akhil’s debacle all Akkineni fans and several Akhil enthusiasts are waiting for his second film to be on the cards on his brother’s one if not better. Nagarjuna, took it upon himself looking at the careers of his two sons to produce better films with them to what they have done. In Akhil’s case he took it to heart as there was lot of flack aimed at him as well for letting Akhil to be his launch vehicle without taking proper care on script.

Even VV Vinayak in his latest interviews apologised and said if given another chance would make a better and blockbuster movie with the young actor. The daddy dearest shielded the young actor from any further comments and asked him to wait for the right combination and story. In the meantime asked him to improve on the skills he was found lacking in the early movie. After long search and discussions with Vamsi Paidipally and Hanu Raghavapudi, Nag brought in his favorite director of the young lot, Manam fame Vikram Kumar, who was supposed to direct a movie fir Geetha Arts with Allu Arjun, to direct the movie. Vikram Kumar being the perfectionist asked Nagarjuna ample time to complete the script. He also got married right after the announcement. Even Akhil got engaged to his lady love, Shriya Bhupal.With all these factors delaying the launch of the project, fans of the actor are getting highly restless.

The movie launch was postponed several times from November to December and now January first week. But even this week, the movie did not go on floors as Nag and Annapurna Studios team wanted to start the movie on an auspicious occasion as it was delayed for long time. The movie according to sources close to the crew, will be launched next week during Sankranthi it seems. To be precise on 14th January after all the madness of two big Sankranthi releases over and the announcement regarding this will be made during 8th January, Audio Release function of Nag’s devotional flick, Om Namo Venkatesaya. Megha Akash will be sharing screen in this alleged sci-fi love story. AR Rehman was said to be the composer for the film, but has he is busy with multiple projects Anup Rubens has come into the picture it seems. The duo of Vikram Anup has been highly successful in giving albums like Ishq and Manam to Telugu audience.
