Akhil Akkineni is very much busy promoting his upcoming film Lenin which is set to release next week. During his recent interview he revealed the reason behind his long break from films.
Akhil said that a few months after Agent was released he slipped on a wet bathroom floor and fell onto a piece of glass.
The accident seriously injured his left hand, damaging a vein and a nerve. He underwent two surgeries and needed around 16 months to recover completely.
For nearly eight months, he was unable to lift light weights or return to the gym. Akhil said the accident was unexpected and deeply affected him.
His revelation shocked fans many of whom had criticized the delay without knowing the real reason behind his absence.
