Akhil Next Film: A Love Story Set in Rayalaseema

Akhil Akkineni has kept quiet about his next movie for over a year since “Agent” had a big box-office disappointment. Now, there’s finally news about his next project.

Akhil has chosen to do a love story, a genre that suits his style and his family legacy. The movie is set in the intense and emotional backdrop of Rayalaseema and will be directed by Murali Kishor Abburu.

Akhil’s movies have usually appealed more to multiplex audiences, but the Rayalaseema setting could help him connect with a larger mass audience in Telugu states.

His home banner, Annapurna Studios, will produce the film, making it their second project with Akhil after “Hello“.

Thaman, known for his popular music, will be composing for this film.
