Akhil Akkineni after his debut movie, Akhil – the power of Jua, decided to take a step forward very carefully. The movie failed to connect with an audience and also got a bad name for the actor and director, VV Vinayak. After a two years gap, Akhil decided to do a movie with Vikram Kumar, Manam fame. Nagarjuna Akkineni decided to take all the special care about the film. They made Hello.
The movie did earn one Million USD in the USA but failed to attract Telugu audience in two Telugu states. Even though movie managed decent amounts for its genre, it turned out to be a commercial flop at the box office. Akhil wiped out all the bad name he acquired with his first film, Akhil and he proved that he is a good actor while he can dance, sing and pull off big action sequences. Now, the actor is trying to take a right step for his third movie and see that it will also become a hit.
Siva Koratala and Trivikram Srinivas names have come forward as his potential next film directors but nothing has been confirmed yet. The actor has yet to finalise his next film director and producer. But the media reports are suggesting that Tholiprema director, Venky Atluri might have got a nod and in April an official announcement will happen followed by the commencement of shoot. The movie could release late this year or next year it seems. As per inside sources, the hero is still trying to figure out the best possible film script for him out of the opportunities available.
