Hotstar has secured the digital rights of Balakrishna’s upcoming film Akhanda 2, beating Netflix and Amazon with a massive deal worth Rs. 85 crores.
The satellite rights have also been sold for Rs. 60 crores, and all theatrical deals are finalized, completing the film’s entire business.
The theatrical rights fetched a record price making it the highest ever for a Balakrishna film. The producers are already in huge profits even before release.
Directed by Boyapati Srinu and the film is set to release on December 5th. Music director Thaman is currently composing the background score while Boyapati is focused on the final editing stage.
Akhanda 2 has wrapped up its shooting. The film brings back the powerful team raising massive expectations among fans.
