Director Puri Jagannadh’s son Akash Puri and Delhi Instagram beauty Ketika Sharma’s youthful entertainer, Romantic was released yesterday. Opened to poor reports from the critics, as expected the content in the movie has been attracting the targetted mass and youth audience.
As per the trade reports, on its first day, Romantic has minted a distributor share of Rs 1.52 with a gross of Rs 2.42 crore from twin Telugu states. Sources reveal that including Rest of India and overseas collections, Romantic has witnessed a decent worldwide share of Rs 1.62 crore on its first day.
As per the inside reports, the total pre-release business for Romantic was done for Rs 4.6 crore and the film should collect close to Rs 5 crore to achieve the break-even target. Will Romantic manage to continue the same momentum and emerge as a commercial success? Remains to be seen.
