AK62 to Go on the Floors from This Month

We had already reported that noted Tamil director Magizh Thirumeni replaced Vignesh Shivn for #AK62. An official announcement regarding the change of director is likely to be out soon. As per the reports, director PS Mithran who earlier delivered social dramas like Irumbu Thirai ( Abhimanyudu in Telugu), Sivakarthikeyan’s Hero and Maruthi’s Sardar is providing the story for this highly-anticipated movie.

Meanwhile, the latest we hear from our Chennai sources is that #AK62 is likely to go on the floors from March 1st week. For the same, a huge set is being erected at one of the studios in Chennai, say sources. On the other hand, Magizh Thirumeni, the talented director who earlier directed thrillers such as Thadaiyara Thaakka, Meaghamann, Thadam, and Kalaga Thalaivan is keen on delivering a similar kind of film with Ajith Kumar.

Lyca Productions is on board to produce #AK62. When Vignesh Shivn was locked for AK62, news came out that the film will have a Mumbai backdrop. Reports also came out that Ajith will be seen as a middle-aged person with two kids in the film. Santhanam and Aravind Swami are also considered for key roles. Whatever might be the reason, the change in the director for AK62 is going to bring drastic changes in the script. Anirudh is locked as the music composer.
